
U.S. News & World Report recently came out with the list of Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs in the country and two colleges from the state of New Jersey made the list.
The first of these is Berkeley College, a for-profit educational institution with headquarters in New York City, but with executive offices located in Woodland Park and a number of campuses in the state of New Jersey. It broke into top 100 on the list, making it to No. 87.
President of Berkeley, Dario A. Cortes said that the college takes online education very seriously and that it is very important to them:
“This recognition speaks to the effectiveness of the online education program offered at Berkeley College and the fact that it provides an accessible way for adult learners to achieve a college education. Online education is increasingly important to employers seeking to support their workforces.”
The second New Jersey college that made the U.S. News & World Report list is the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, with main offices in Pomona. This college was founded in 1969 and at first, the classes were held in Atlantic City, more precisely the Mayflower Hotel. Over the years, it has grown in size and stature and it made it to spot No. 217 on the list.
In case you are wondering which colleges topped the list, the answer is Pennsylvania State University – World Campus in University Park, PA at No.1 and Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, FL at No. 2.
