There are good sports cities, like Detroit, where three of its four major professional teams have won multiple league championships. There’s Boston, which features the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins – all highly successful sports franchises. Don’t forget about Pittsburgh, home to the Steelers, the upstart Penguins and MLB’s Pirates.
But for all the good, there are also the bad sports cities, where fans are clueless, championships are a pipe dream and success is hard to come by. With that being said, here’s a look at the 13 worst sports cities.
1. Buffalo
Buffalo residents love the Sabres and the Bills – there’s no question about that. But combined, the two pro squads have only won two championships in almost 90 years – and those came in 1964 and 1965. Yikes!
