Halloween only falls one day of the year, but there are many cities throughout the country where you can get your spooky fix on 24/7/365. Here’s a look at 11 of the most haunted cities in the United States.
1. Mackinac Island, Michigan
Mackinac Island is a beautiful tourist getaway in northern Michigan with a year-round population of just 490. But having been originally settled by Indians, the island has a rich paranormal history. Many of the island’s hotels and bed and breakfasts are haunted – including the pristine Grand Hotel, where the spirits of children are known to want to play with guests in the hallway, as is Fort Mackinac. It’s even said you can see the apparitions of former ships that have fell victim to the Great Lakes from time to time near the harbor.
