This fall, a few new shows are filling up Las Vegas theaters.
Whether you’re into very Vegas-style shows, ventriloquist acts or Broadway revivals, there’s a show for everyone.
A whole lotta shakin’
Broadway award-winning actor Eric Jordan Young just finished a run of more than 2,000 performances of Vegas! Young has been inspired by legendary Vegas acts such as Sammy Davis, Jr., as well as Flip Wilson and Redd Foxx, and combines that spirit with names such as Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars in his new show Shakin’.
Look who’s talking
Is a ventriloquist a one-man show? Not when he’s Jeff Dunham with a cast of characters, such as Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist and manic purple creature Peanut. Though Dunham has acted in Vegas countless times before, he can now call the Entertainment Capital home as he and his merry band of sidekicks start their residency, Jeff Dunham: Not Playing with a Full Deck, on November 28 in the Planet Hollywood Showroom.
We’ve got magic to do
The Stephen Schwartz-scored musical Pippin debuted on Broadway four decades ago. Directed by Tony winner Diane Paulus with Bob Fosse-style choreography by Chet Walker and stunning acrobatics by Montreal’s Gypsy Snider, Pippin was revived in 2013 with a new production that garnered four Tony Awards, and now it’s coming to Las Vegas November 25-30 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
