With gas prices continuing to rise and global warming not going away, many commuters and city dwellers are turning to bicycles for their main form of transportation. In fact, bikes are becoming so popular that many cities have even enacted incentives to encourage people to bike to work and have passed legislation for increased bike lanes and much more. Given America’s lack of enthusiasm for outdoor exercise, it is not surprising that most of the bike friendly cities are outside the US. However, cities like Denver, Portland and San Francisco are leading the charge for America to be more of a bike friendly nation.
