It is March again and every fan of music, film and interactive technologies knows what that means – SXSW is back in Austin, Texas and the party can start!
This is the 29th annual SXSW Film, Music and Interactive Festival and it will be held between March 13-17 (Interactive), March 13-21 (Film) and March 17-22 (Music). It will once again be one of the biggest festivals in the world and it will bring thousands of people to innumerable Austin venues where various programs will take place.
The SXSW Film Festival will boast more than 140 features, with 60 titles from debuting filmmakers, a hundred world premieres, as well as 13 North American premieres and eleven US Premieres. The A-list talent that will be attending the festival is also staggering, with Al Pacino, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy, Ryan Gosling and Kevin Hart making their appearances, just to name a few.
As you probably already know, SXSW Music is considered to be the biggest music festival in the world and this year’s will be no different, with more than two thousand performers playing their music to the crowds. Some of the biggest names that will play SXSW music include AWOLNATION, Alex Winston, Best Coast, Big Data, the Church, Dilated Peoples, Halsey, Lust for Youth, Marina and the Diamonds, MS MR, Tove Lo, Unlocking the Truth and Zombies.
SXSW Interactive will once again provide you an overload to all senses and everything tech, with special programs on the best new video games, startup ideas, websites; the newest technologies being presented for the first time and so much more.
