South Beach Wine & Food Festival

If you find yourself anywhere near Miami or Florida between February 19th and 22nd and you feel puckish or up for a glass or two of wine, make sure that you visit the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE which will take place in South Beach.

The festival started modestly 13 years ago when it was just a one-day festival which was then called the Florida Extravaganza which showcased national and international wines and local restaurants. Since its beginnings, it was envisioned as a way to raise funds for Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management’s Wine Spectator Restaurant Management Laboratory as well as the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center at FIU. Over the 13 years, the festival raised over $20 million in funds.

Today, the South Beach Food and Wine Festival is a four-day dining and wining extravaganza which attracts people in their thousands and which is the perfect way to discover restaurants and different eateries from the area, as well as wineries that always show up with their best wines.

The event will be packed with brunches, lunches, intimate diners, grand tastings, late-night parties and seminars held by some of the biggest experts from the world of cooking and wine. Cooking Channel and Food Network are also sending their famous chefs who will bring an air of celebrity to the entire event.

What is there not to like – gorgeous setting, excellent wines and the best dining you can imagine?
