Though the weather is not so frightful in Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan is getting ready for winter, transforming the Boulevard Pool into the Ice Rink. It is set to open on November 21.
In its third year, the Ice Rink expands to 4,200 square feet of skating space on real ice, but with snow. Guests will be blasted with snow showers every half-hour throughout the evening on weekends, so you’ll actually have to put those mittens and hats on.
The winter wonderland features Date Skate Mondays, or if you feel like going retro, Throwback Thursdays give opportunities to wear their finest leg warmers, bell bottoms or disco gear for ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
And there are, of course, cocktails such as the Campfire Delight, made with Patron XO, crème de cacao, RumChata and marshmallow, or bites such as grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Who says you’ve got to live where it’s cold? The Cosmopolitan’s Ice Rink says, “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!”
