Rabbits Run Rampart In Langley, Washington

It is quite difficult to imagine rabbits as something that can plague a town, but that is exactly what is going down in Langley in the state of Washington. It has become virtually overrun with these cute animals whom no one sees as cute anymore.

It is believed that the rabbits are the descendants of escapees from the Island County Fairgrounds. The interesting thing is that they escaped over a few decades ago. Whatever their background might be, the hares are there and they are not leaving. They have begun destroying property, causing structural damage to buildings and spreading diseases.

The town authorities are not quite sure how to handle this hopping hazard and they have scheduled a meeting for October 7 to debate what can be done.
