Old-Timey Music In The Shadow Of Natural Chimneys

Not that many music festivals can boast a location like the Red Wing Roots Music Festival can. The festival will be held for a third year in a row at the base of Natural Chimneys, one of the most incredible natural rock formations in the United States.

And keeping with the theme of the Virginia mountains, the Red Wing Roots fest is all about old-timey music that will transport you to simpler times. We are talking blues, bluegrass, country and jazz, with four different stages providing you with all kinds of audio fun over the three days in July, from 10-12.

This year’s lineup will include Punch Brothers, Robert Earl Keen, Sara-Sarah-Aoife, The Wood Brothers, Elephant Revival, The Travellin’ McCourys, Nikki Lane, The Steel Wheels, Eric Lindell and others.

The festival will feature a whole lot of accompanying activities suitable for the entire family. The festival has also made a name for itself thanks to the wide variety of refreshments – from locally brewed beers to some of the best festival food you can ever hope to try.

Red Wing Roots III promises three days and nights of relaxed fun, great eating and even better drinking and music to soothe your soul.
