How Much Do The Most Expensive High Schools In The US Cost?

1

Some people believe that high school is more about preparation and children learning social norms that will help them in their further academic efforts. Others believe that high school is just as important as college and that the choice of a high school will play a huge role in determining the child’s future.

When we look at the most expensive high schools in the United States, it is impossible not to think that they are primarily intended for children of the second type of people; no one who thinks that high school is any less important than college would be prepared the kind of money they are asking to be paid. So, how much is that exactly?

Well, for instance, the fifth most expensive school in America is The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Connecticut and they charge $40,750 a year per child. Their main perk and one of the reasons why people send their children to Hotchkiss are the off-campus semesters in Italy, France, Spain, South Africa and China.

The fourth most expensive is The Riverdale Country School in the Bronx and the yearly tuition for one student is $42,000. They are famed for their athletic facilities but also for their overall standard of education.

Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut is at third place with the yearly tuition of $42,229. The school puts a strong emphasis on developing social contacts and skills among other things.

The second most expensive high school in US is the Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia, boasting interactive whiteboards, an animal room as well as an observatory. The price of one year tuition? $42,700.

The most expensive school in America is, believe it or not, found in New Jersey. More precisely Lawrenceville, NJ. They charge $43,314 for one year’s tuition and for that kind of money they provide a gorgeous 700=acre campus, inter-house competition, a nine-hole golf course and an indoor ice hockey rink. The school in question is The Lawrenceville School.
