Henry M. Gunn High School is one of two public high schools in the city of Palo Alto and it is the definite better of the two, with its reputation mostly being that of a college prep school. According to the people from U.S. News, Gunn is a Gold Medal School, ranking number 4 for STEM schools and number 17 overall in California.
Other sources and organizations are equally positive about the school, with SchoolDigger ranking it 48th best in the state and with FindTheBest giving it the Smart Rating of 96 out of 100.
The school boasts a rather rigorous core curriculum, as well as a very wide range of programs aimed at providing as varied an education as possible for its students.
