Willowick is a city located in Lake County, Ohio and is considered to be a suburb of Cleveland. The name Willowick comes from an interesting combination of nearby cities Willoughby and and Wickliffe.
According to Wikipedia this small Midwestern city is very tiny indeed as it covers about 2.5 square miles, all of which are land. With the median age of the city at around 41 in 2010 residents here are mostly younger in age with close to 80 percent of the population aged 45 and under.
Wikipedia also states that the median income in the city of Willowick, based off of the 2000 census, came in at $44,107 per household and the median income for the average family in Willowick was $52,675 in that same year. Neighborhood Scout shows that another great attribute of the city is that the majority of it’s residents come from many different ethnic backgrounds, creating a diverse community.
The site also states that a majority of residents here are considered blue collar workers and many members of the community work as sales and service providers, office workers and other professionals. The residents of Willowick also fall in close to the national average when it comes to residents who hold bachelor degrees or above at about 19 percent of the population.
