14. Sebring

Sebring is a small town located in the southern center of Florida, with a population of around 10,000. It is most famous for the Sebring International Raceway, the home of 12 Hours of Sebring, a race which is part of the American Le Mans Series. At the time of the race, the town bustles with visitors, but for the rest of the year, it is one of the quieter little towns in the state, which makes it a prime destination for many people.

Sebring is a superbly quiet little town, with a downtown that feels like something from old movies and with an almost bucolic feel to it. You will never feel rushed in Sebring and it is truly a town that lets you experience life at a more human pace.

Another big attraction in town is the Highlands Hammock State Park, one of the largest in the state and also one of the oldest. It features an elevated walkway which allows you to experience local growth from above, giving you the chance to truly immerse yourself in plant life, some of which is more than a thousand years old.
