Anyone who knows a thing or two about techno music, electronic music in general or simply about the best music festivals in the US, will tell you that the Movement in Detroit is the best-kept festival secret in the entire country.
The festival has been held since 2000, although it was only in 2006 that it got the name under which it has been organized since then. Like always, Movement Detroit 2015 will be taking place at Hart Plaza on Memorial Day Weekend, May 23-25.
The festival is one of the most hardcore events of its kind, held in the city that invented techno and where the culture is still going strong. But it is not all about techno, as there will be plenty of great hip-hop acts, as well as all kinds of electro music.
Some of the acts you can see at Movement 2015 include: Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig and “Mad” Mike Banks, Tuskegee, Maya Jane Coles, Dog Blood, Gabi, Paula Temple, Jay Daniel, Urban Tribe, Matador, Maceo Plex, GRiZ, Joris Voorn, Kevin Saunderson & Derrick May, Danny Brown, Jets, Method Man, Brodinski, Audiofly, Dubfire, Mano Le Tough and so, so many others.
If the reputation and the names are not enough to get you hyped for Movement 2015, then check out this trailer for the festival. It will definitely make you want to attend.
