Versus other European countries, the United Kingdom has a big problem with expensive food. In the past few years, the average price of food in England has risen at a much faster rate than the rest of the European Union. A report by one of England’s major newspapers suggests that the annual food bill for an average English family will top £4,000 by 2022.
