Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from Dallas to Orlando got some Disney presents in celebration of the opening of a new route between the two cities.
The Dapper Dans, the barbershop quartet more commonly found serenading tourists on Main Street USA in Disney World, sang songs such as “Let It Go” and “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes” to passengers aboard the inaugural flight.
Passengers got Disney snacks, such as Mickey rice crispy treats. They also got the mouse ears, while a Jungle Cruise skipper also served as an “honorary flight attendant.”
The big celebration was due to the expiration of the Wright Amendment, which restricted flights out of Dallas’ Love Field. With its expiration this week, Southwest could to start direct service to Orlando.
